President
Jennifer Morgan- President
I am Jennifer Morgan, a proud member of the Air Force for 20 years. I am stationed in San Antonio and share my life with my beautiful children and a wonderful husband. My husband is also enlisted, and he is the love of my life and my hero. My hero because despite suffering from multiple Traumatic Brain Injuries and PTSD he still loves fighting for our freedom. Unfortunately, this is a common battle that many are coping with, and it does not just affect the individual. I share this because everyone has different struggles, and this Student Veterans Organization is one avenue that we can use to share experiences and learn from each other's life lessons.
As previously mentioned, I have been in the service for 20 years; I will not go that in depth but cover a the last few years. In 2014, I took charge of a failing flight that wanted to give up. With my leadership, the team was developed into one of the strongest groups I have seen. We ended up winning nine team and individual awards. I then moved from an aircraft maintenance unit to a headquarters staff position as a Subject Matter Expert and as a Functional Area Manager. During this period, I developed two processes that were implemented for my specialty Air Force wide. Responsible for equipment and systems valued over $246 million dollars and currently responsible for the overall deployment management and readiness of over 6,000 personnel. Over this time, I won 5 quarterly awards and three annual awards.
I am not telling you about my recent achievements to boast. I mention them because I found my first mentor four years ago. I went most of my career without any support or direction. Finally, someone believed in me; someone finally pushed me to see my strengths and gave me a chance to prove myself. In this short period, I conquered more than I could ever have imagined. Since then I have made it my personal purpose to help others visualize and achieve their goals. I have been the president, vice-president, treasurer and secretary of squadron and base level organizations. I led over 16 programs, several of which dedicated to professional development the rest for boosting morale. I use my lessons learned and strengths as a motivational leader to earn the trust of others and build them up to recognize and reach their maximum potential. I am proof and here to say that it is never too late to be the best you can be.
I ask for you vote as president, to not only help empower our fellow veteran students of Ashford but also to help keep my promise to encourage others.

Vice President
Krysta Yost- Vice President
Hello everyone, I would first like to thank you for allowing me to be added to this wonderful group. My name is Krysta Yost and I am currently working on my Master of Arts in Healthcare Administration through Ashford University.
I am very interested in being able to help others reach their goals. I have always wanted to help others and participate in something that can change lives. Being in the military, I have learned the importance of a support system and how it allows individuals to become successful. I have also recently joined the CHAMPS Peer Mentoring Program at Ashford so I can have more of a direct influence on others.
Just to give some insight about myself: I am currently Active Duty Navy and approaching my 13 year mark. I currently work at Recruit Training Command training recruits to be successful as they leave basic training and head towards their permanent duty station. I have learned many different methods of communication throughout my time at my current duty station, which helps me develop as an individual. I am by nature, a very energetic individual, which provides me with the drive and motivation to lead others to success.
I would like to take this opportunity again to thank everyone and I look forward to learning and growing as an organization.
