Welcome Parents/Guardians

Happy Friday! We are in the final stretch of a very challenging, but also very rewarding school year. We are thankful to have such wonderful students! With only seven weeks left in the school year, please continue to encourage your student to finish strong.

AP examination plan for in person learners (IPL) and at home learners (AHL):

All BHS in person students who are enrolled in an AP course will take the paper and pencil exams during AP test administration 1, starting May 3 and ending on May 17 (as planned). All at home AP students will take their exams during AP exam administration 2, which runs from May 18 to May 28. At home students taking paper and pencil exams will complete their testing at BHS, while at home students taking digital exams will complete their exams at home. All exams will be given on the assigned day/time per the College Board AP testing schedule.

Scholarship Opportunities for Juniors

The link below will allow you to access some scholarships from CollegeBoard that are available to juniors. As you know, there aren’t many scholarships to which juniors can apply, so this is worth investigating.

Virtual college events and videos posted on admission sites

We realize many colleges are not currently conducting in-person college visits and are rather hosting virtual opportunities. While it is not the same as the live experience, we still encourage you to take advantage of the virtual events and videos colleges have posted on their admissions sites! Visit for Indiana school virtual visit opportunities.

Naviance Test Prep

We have SAT Test Prep available in Naviance. The Naviance SAT Test Prep can be found on the home page of Naviance under “Resources to Get Ready.” We highly encourage students to take advantage of the SAT prep tool to prepare themselves for the SAT. A prep guide is available in Naviance in the section labeled “From My School.” Also visit the SAT and ACT websites at and for additional test prep resources available.

This is a reminder to get your student signed up for the ACT and/or the SAT this school year. Students can sign up for the ACT at and the SAT at Due to some colleges requiring a writing score, we encourage students to take the writing portion of the ACT/SAT the first time they take the test. Please reach out to the counselors if you have any questions.

Parent Meetings

Team 2022 relies on communication and relationships to help you and your student feel supported and valued. We would like for every parent to meet at least one Team 2022 member in person. As we continue to get to know our parents and students, do not hesitate to request a meeting with a Team 2022 member.
