Keeping our Crane families in the know!

2020-2021 School Year, Volume 1

Hello Cranes!

We hope that you are having a safe, restful, and fun summer! Please look for frequent newsletters like these to keep you updated with the latest and greatest information regarding the 2020-21 school year.

Soaring Into The New Year

Our Theme

This year, we have chosen the theme of space, because our Cranes are "Out of This World!"

We are facing many changes and challenges in the coming school year. Some students will be learning in the building, while others will be at home learning through mySchool Online. While many things are different, we would like to emphasize that we are still one school community coming together for the betterment of all Sand Pine students. It is our hope that through innovation and creativity, we continue to function as one. Together, we can accomplish great things! SAND PINE STRONG!

Bus Transportation

If your child is in need of bus transportation, please see the document below. Bus service is only provided for those students that live more than two miles from the school. Please contact Mrs. Grimsley or the transportation office if you need assistance!

School Supply Lists

Click here for school supply lists for TRADITIONAL (on campus) classes.

See the documents below for school supply lists for mySCHOOL ONLINE classes. Please note that there are separate lists for K-2 and 3-5. There are also grade specific lists for art.

If you ordered a supply pack through the PTA and you have a student doing mySchool Online, we will be scheduling a time for you to come to campus to pick up your supply pack. Stay tuned!

Water Bottles

In an effort to reduce trips to the drinking fountains, we encourage all of our Cranes to bring their own water bottles to school. Drinking fountains are places that multiple students from different classes will have access to, and we are doing all we can to keep students interacting only within their classroom cohort. Students having their own bottles will help decrease the risk of germs being transmitted. Please label all water bottles with your child's name.

Visitors and Volunteers

We encourage all of our Sand Pine parents to register to be an approved volunteer with Pasco County Schools. Click here to fill out the application. Applications must be filled out each year (beginning on July 1) to be current.

At this time, visitors and volunteers on campus will be limited. Here are some differences that you will notice this year:

  • Visitors will not be allowed on campus without an appointment.
  • Parents will not be allowed to eat lunch on campus with their child.
  • No field trips will be taken until further notice.
  • Volunteers to assist teachers must be scheduled in advance and will work in an area away from classrooms.

If you have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out. We love our volunteers and want to integrate them into our school as much as we can while adhering to district guidelines!

Our Sand Pine PTA is AWESOME! We are so thankful for all they do to support our school!

Please join PTA in helping our school this year. PTA's mission is to make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.
