ONE WORD--not a requirement but I'd love for you to participate.
One Word That Will Change Your Life
One Word (in my opinion) is a gamechanger for resolution-setters.
50% of Resolutions
Step 1
Look inside yourself and ask, "What do I need in order to be most content, most satisfied, most successful, most whole?" It helps to be a in a quiet place alone with your thoughts and journal. You may also want to consider...what is standing in my way?
Step 2
You may be looking up for guidance or simply for a moment of mind-clearing clarity but there's something about the act of looking upwards that allows you to center your thoughts. Try looking up at a beautiful sky or the blankness of your ceiling or the backs of your eyelids. Does one word come to mind?
Step 3
Once you have selected your word, determine how you will live this word outwardly every day. How will you keep this word front and center as a reminder to yourself to keep the vision alive?
Step 4
Share your word with your accountability partner, your teaching peers, your family, whoever you believe will keep you accountable to your chosen word, even when you don't want to be. We want you to achieve your vision.
Then, share your word with Erika. I'd like to make something for everyone centered around your word.
Recipe for a GREAT first day back!
2. Greet everyone you meet in the hallway.
3. Grab an extra cup of coffee or diet coke and head to the gym for morning meeting!
4. I need 8 volunteers for morning meeting. We're going to reiterate our core values and our non-negotiables and welcome the kids back.
5. Be in your spots for transitions.
6. Be strict about the non-negotiables and minors. First day back is not a day to be loose.
7. Be heavy handed with the shoutouts. Behavior changes through positive reinforcement. Mold it right off the bat.
8. At the end of the day, remember what you are grateful for besides the fact that TOMORROW IS FRIDAY!!!!
