Wamogo Regional High School
May 9, 2018
Message from the Superintendent of Schools
Dear Region 6 Community,
I am excited to share that on Monday evening the Region 6 Board of Education Budget for 2018-2019 was approved by an 85-6 vote.
This budget process began in December and included input and participation from community, parents, and school staff. There were meetings, town-tours, school visits, and a promise that together we will share a collective goal to move our district forward for our most important resource – the children of Region 6.
It is important to thank the Selectmen, Board Members, community members, residents, parents, students, along with school administrators, teachers, and staff. It was all of your time, late nights, emails, conversations, and vision, which helped create a budget and make the process a success. I truly believe you have established a process for the rest of the state to emulate.
As many know I am a baseball fan and in the game one can find many parallels to life. The season is a long one (162 games) and while you celebrate the teamwork and victory on a Monday, you don’t lose sight of the work that is left to accomplish.
There were nearly 100 people at WAMOGO on Monday night and we will need everyone again as attention turns to the next three-town tour. This discussion will focus on 2019-2020 and how we address our declining enrollment and school grade configurations.
The schedule for the tour is as follows:
Tuesday, May 15, 2018 @ Warren School
10:00 – Parents
3:30 - Staff
6:00 – Parents (and students)
Wednesday, May 16, 2018 @ James Morris School
10:00 – Parents
3:30 - Staff
6:00 – Parents (and students)
Thursday, May 17, 2018 @ Goshen School
10:00 – Parents
3:30 - Staff
Friday, May 18, 2018 @ Goshen School
6:00 – Parents (and students)
I again send my thanks to the community for the support of the budget and look forward to the continued participation in the important work to follow on behalf of our students.
Best wishes,
Chris

Wamogo Grad Night Party
Planning for this year's Wamogo Grad Night party is underway. The venue is selected and we are looking for volunteers to help organize food and contributions. We are also considering providing some additional entertainment for our graduates, so if you have a special talent that you'd like to donate for some portion of the evening (DJ, caricature artist, etc.), we'd love to hear from you!
If you can volunteer some time to help organize this event OR would like to donate or help arrange donations, please contact us our new e-mail address at WamogoGradNight@gmail.com. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
Please join us in helping plan this fun event!

Faculty and Staff Lunch complete - your donations are still welcome!
Thank you to our families that contributed to the luncheon. This catered luncheon gave the faculty and staff plenty of safe and healthy choices and a chance to mingle and relax before heading back to classes. Only a small portion of our families have donated at this time, but there's still time to show your support for our faculty and staff. Please send your donations in to the Wamogo Office marked PTO Faculty/Staff lunch. Checks or cash in any amount are greatly appreciated; checks should be made out to Wamogo PTO.
PTO Pre-Prom Red Carpet Event
The Wamogo Prom will be held on Saturday, June 2nd. Each year students, families, and friends gather for pictures and for a big send-off for our prom participants. Wamogo PTO hosts a red carpet event for students to take pictures in a variety of settings, and as everyone gathers, appetizers and beverages are made available to create a party atmosphere. We are looking for donations of appetizers, waters, and supplies to be delivered at 3 pm on Saturday, June 2nd. We'll have volunteers ready to set out and pass the food to the crowd.
You can sign up to contribute to the Pre-Prom event using the sign-up genius link below:
