From Parents
Lacey FosterFor going above and beyond to make her students feel relevant. And she is always smiling and friendly working the car line.
- Mrs Laster has been a tremendous teammate. She regularly checks on me during her own conference time to ensure I’ve had a restroom break, need copies, or to make sure I get a “breather” if I need one. She’s also helped me navigate students back to their own classroom when they try to visit so that instruction can continue without missing a beat. I’m so thankful for her!
- Thank you, Mrs., Hughes for joining my tutoring groups for the last couple of weeks. It has been such a joy working with you! I enjoyed your students and being able to work with them.

To 6th grade ELAR team, we've almost made it! You ladies have rocked it, and I am so proud of you and all the work you put into the last 4 weeks.
Congratulations again to Ms. J on passing your certification test!! You are a rockstar!
Thank you Admin again for the great Solar Eclipse Day. It was so much fun!
Mr. Nelson is an amazing person to have on the math team. I love that he tells people why he appreciates them. I don't think we do this enough. It means so much to hear a coworker say I really appreciate you because I see a difference in my student because of you. It really means a lot and we should share these things more. Donathan
Dee Dee I look forward to seeing you! You always have a smile on your face, and I just love that you are genuinely joyful. Donathan
Gloria you have rocked your new position this year. It is a little treat to see you in your element and thriving.
Mrs. Bolton, Mrs. Frazier, Coach Frazier that you for hanging out at the soccer fields on Sunday to promote the bond. It was nice getting to know each other in a much slower paced environment. It was fun! Donathan
Mrs. Welther I wish I had the words to explain how much I think of you....Well I do but...Anyways, you are a huge asset to this campus, and I hope to have half the composure you do one day when I grow up. I really look up to your calm nature and coolly organized awesomeness. You make it look easy.
Mrs. Morrell has been everywhere this year. I really appreciate that you are willing to do anything that is asked of you. I do not know how I would survive without you this year! So proud of all that you have taken on and are accomplishing. Donathan
Thank you Ms. Bolton and Ms. Parker for asking about my life. Everyone wants to be seen and viewed with interest – thank you so much for that human connection.
Ms. Thompson always humors my existential and life queries, which leads to real conversation that makes me think. Thinking is good, thank you.
Ms. Morrell is such a kind person, who makes me laugh, and naturally makes connection with all. Thank you for your inviting soul.
Ms. Sewell and Ms. Pannell are professionals. Even when the days are long, they never waver on expectations and hold our kids accountable. Thanks for keeping the energy at the end of the hall elite.
Ms. Cook is always on-top of everything, provides leadership when needed, and strikes an admirable work-life balance. Thanks for being a role model on how to adult.
Summer Professional Development and Comp Day Hours
Dear Faculty,
As we approach the summer break, it's time to plan for our professional development days. Below is a list of sessions available for your COMP DAYS. The comp days built into the 24-25 calendar include, Oct. 9th, Oct. 10th, Nov. 1st, and Feb. 14th. Remember, you are required to complete FOUR comp days (totaling 24 hours) prior to 8/5/24. The fourth comp day will be dedicated to completing the Annual Compliance Training modules, which must be done between 7/1/24-8/4/24 to count as a comp day.
Please use the link below, MISD Summer Professional Learning, and select the sessions you plan to attend from the options provided. If you wish to attend sessions not listed, ensure they are pre-approved by your campus principal.
Once you've made your selections, please click on the "Summer 2024 Comp Time Form" button below and submit it to your principal by 5/10/24 for approval. When you return to school for the 24-25 school year please submit a copy of your certificates to your principal or their designee.
Staff members who choose to attend more than the required four days are welcome to do so, but unfortunately, comp time or payment cannot be provided for the extra time.
If you have any questions, feel free to call or email me.
Thank you for your commitment to continuous growth!
You rock,
