Viking E-BLAST

All Saints Episcopal School - Jan. 14, 2013

PEACE, LOVE & SKATETIME! It might be cold and rainy outside, but your children are having fun in P.E. while getting a GREAT cardiovascular workout! Parents and grandparents are welcome to join us during your child's P.E. class to help students put on their skates, take pictures or even join in on the fun! If you're feeling brave, we have a pair of skates (and knee pads and wrist guards and a helmet) for you!

Our virtue for the month of January is JOY! "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope." Romans 15:13

We are having discussions all over campus about what joy means to us. Think about joy and the next time you have 5 minutes and 41 seconds take a "joy break" and watch the youtube flash mob linked below.

Flashmob Flash Mob - Ode an die Freude ( Ode to Joy ) Beethoven Symphony No.9 classical music

Our 7th Grade students are learning about earthquakes while utilizing their iPads in Earth Science. Today in class Mr. Baize modeled seismic waves using a large spring. Next, the students learned to read a seismogram using a computer interactive program on their iPads. Now our smart 7th graders can determine the epicenter location and the strength of earthquakes on the Richter scale.
