PRE Newsletter
May 17, 2019
This week is going to fly as we have so many end-of-the-year activities planned. Fifth grade farewell, third grade outdoor learning and science fair, talent show, lunch with Cougar Dens, Field Day, signing of yearbooks, and Awards Ceremony to highlight the main activities. Teachers will also be wrapping up learning in the classroom as well as cleaning out and getting items ready to send home. We can feel the excitement in the building as the students anticipate summer break, and we are doing our best to keep consistent expectations and somewhat of a routine in the business of the last week.
I am crossing my fingers that the rain stays away for the planned outdoor activities. It has been relentless lately, and every time I check the forecast, it changes! We do have alternate plans for Field Day if necessary. I do want you to know that the PRE PTO has generously offered to purchase ice cream sandwiches for Field Day. We will have Popsicles as an alternative due to allergies. Please let me know if you have any questions about this.
We are also asking that students bring sack lunches on Wednesday and Thursday due to lunch with Cougar Dens as well as Field Day. Sack lunches will be provided in the cafeteria if necessary. The classroom teachers have been doing a great job of communicating all of the last week of school information, but please let us know if you have any questions.
I hope that you all enjoyed a weekend making memories with friends and family.
