PSAT- Wednesday, October 14th
Our 8th grade students will be taking the PSAT 8/9 on Wednesday, October 14th. PSAT 8/9 establishes a baseline measurement of your student's college career readiness and gives you a preview of the PSAT/NMSQT and SAT. The PSAT 8/9 tests reading, writing, language, and math.
What to bring: No.2 pencils with erasers and an approved calculator.
Accommodations: Small group accommodations will be available for students who receive such testing services.
Score Reporting: About 2 months after testing, Mrs. Harrison will give you an access code to view your scores. About 3 months after testing, you will receive a letter in the mail containing your scores.
Breakfast & Lunch:
Breakfast: Will be held as normal
Lunch: ALL students will eat a sack lunch today; students may order sack lunches through the cafeteria, or they may bring their own.
Shuttle Students:
8th graders will NOT be shuttled to/from KMS or HMS between 8:30am-1:30pm on Wednesday, October 14th.
Before and after school transportation will continue as normal. 6th and 7th grade students who shuttle to/from KMS or HMS will remain on a normal schedule.
*KMS, HMS & STEAM are working together with PSAT 8/9 scheduling.
There will not be any make-ups or late starts for the PSAT 8/9.
The STEAM Global Cardboard Challenge
WHEN: THURSDAY, OCT. 1ST, 8:30AM TO FRIDAY, OCT. 30TH, 4PM
The STEAM World Clock Challenge - Design and build a working clock out of cardboard to be part of a world time clock display at STEAM. This is an optional extracurricular event that is open to all STEAM students.
6th Grade Curriculum Night
- A-H ~ 5:30pm - 6:15pm
- I-Z ~ 6:15pm - 7:00pm
