Principal's Message

Hello Eagles! The school year is quickly passing us by and we couldn't be more proud of how hard our staff and students are working each school day. The 5th six weeks will end on Thursday, April 22nd. Please make sure you are reaching out to your child's teacher to check on the status of your child's grades and attendance. Soon, our campus will be sending home or mailing possible retainee notices to parents/guardians of students in Grades 1-5. We want each of our students to be successful and we must all work together to ensure this takes place.

The 6th six weeks is just around the corner and I would like to strongly encourage all of our online students to return to face to face instruction for the last part of the school year. Our campus continues to follow all safety protocols such as wearing masks and using desk shields. Your child's health and safety is our top priority.

We have a busy week ahead of us filled with STAAR testing and mock testing. Please note the dates of testing below for Grades 3-5. We want to thank our teachers for working diligently to ensure their students are well prepared for their assessments. We got this Eagles!

Let's have a successful month of April at school. Our next parent newsletter will be sent out at the beginning of May. We will continue to provide you with updates throughout the month via Canvas and School Messenger. Thank you families for all of your support.

STAAR Testing: 4th Grade Writing April 6th

On Tuesday, April 6th our 4th grade students (face to face and online) will take the official STAAR Writing test. We want to wish our 4th grade teachers and their students the best of luck. They have been work extra hard since the beginning of the school year to prepare for this state assessment. We know they are well prepared and couldn't be more proud of the determination they have demonstrated this school year to learn so much about revising, editing and writing compositions. You got this, 4th grade!

Please note, online students can only take the test on campus and an online version will not be available to complete at home. Parents/guardians of these students have already been notified by our office and the necessary arrangements have been made for them to test on our campus. Breakfast, lunch and a snack will be provided. The office will contact you once your child has completed his/her testing.

As a reminder, students should go to bed early, eat breakfast, bring a water bottle and arrive to school on time. Students will have four hours to complete their test and those with accomodations will receive them. Go Eagles Go! STAAR Powers Activated!

Breakfast and Lunch Menus for On Campus Learners

Please review the menu provided. If your child is not going to eat the school lunch we do encourage the use of packing a lunch in a bag that can be thrown away. Using a bag that can be thrown away limits the travel of items such as a lunch box going back and forth from home to school. Breakfast and lunch are free for all students.
