FROM THE DESK OF MRS. CHARY
APRIL PARENTS NEWSLETTER
PRE-K 3 CLASS
Dear parents,
April showers may come, but finger-painting and playing inside games can make even rainy days enjoyable.
This month’s study of the pond has brought us a new song. “Little White Duck” is now a favorite in class. Our new letters Ss and Tt, could stand for interesting animals that live in the pond, such as snakes and turtles. We have even brought the study of the pond into our numbers time as we count tadpoles, frogs, and ducks. We are now working on number concepts for 1-14 and counting all the way to 30! In Bible, we are learning what God’s Word says about kindness from one of our memory verses, Ephesians 4:32, “And be ye kind one to another.” Our other verse is Proverbs 20:11.
Keep your eyes open for some “I did it all by myself” original artwork that will be coming home this month. As you see the artwork, have your child describe it for you.
Read and Extend Lesson Plan: We read “Teeny Tiny Ants” from our Scholastic issues and learn about insects and plant life cycles. The children enjoyed the classroom magazines, singing “The Ants Go Marching” and the online resources; Insect or not an insect, building an insect, parts of a plant, and planting flowers seeds.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Chary
