Adaptation
Dogs adapt to hot weather by panting their tongue. They do not sweat. They also shed their fur in spring so they can be cooler.
Habitat
Dogs live domestically in homes. They are used as pets. Some dogs live in yards. Others live in houses.
LIfe Cycle
Dogs are born alive. They look just like their moms, but smaller. They are called puppies when they are born. Then are then adolescent who become adults. Dogs are usually full grown by the age of 1. They can then have babies of their own.

Characteristics
Dogs have four legs to walk on. Dogs have two eyes to see with. Dogs all have hair and are part of the mammal family. Dogs breath air with their lungs. Dogs have sharp teeth, they can eat meat and protect themselves.
