Playful
Complicated
One trait I thought represented the relationship between Ezra and Cassidy well was complicated. Later on in the story, Ezra is having a conversation with his best friend, Toby, "So, are you and Cassidy, like a thing now?" Toby asked. "I'm honestly not sure," I replied (175).
Mysterious
Another trait I thought defined the relationship between Cassidy and Ezra was mysterious. Early on in the story, Cassidy and Ezra form a relationship that is unlike any relationship that either one of them has ever experienced. "Every night Cassidy flashes hi to me in morse code, that's all she ever says"(50).
Sarcastic
The final trait I thought represented Cassidy and Ezra's relationship was sarcastic. From the minute they met each other they both have just said it like it is and were never afraid to be sarcastic and a little bit rude to each other. Later in the story, while Ezra and Cassidy's debate team is attending a competition, Cassidy gives Ezra some encouraging words as he prepares for his first debate. "Break a leg!" Cassidy called teasingly as I headed towards the A building.
