Plot

Harry Potter is a boy that lives with is aunt and uncle. like everyday he goes to school, he comes home, and spends the rest of his day in the cupboard. but one day came when harry gets a mysterious letter in the mail. before he opens it his uncle takes it away and tears it up. even more letters come everyday, more and more, until harry's uncle decides to take everybody on a vacation. once there, during the night, harry gets visited by a man named Hagrid who tells harry that he's a wizard. Hagrid then takes harry to get his supplies for a wizard school harry is going to. later, harry then goes on a train to the school called Hogwarts, and there he meets another wizard kid named Ron Weasley. once they get to the school, the first years then get sorted into their houses: Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin. over the next few months they get used to their classes, Harry joins the Quidditch team, on halloween they fought a troll, and made a new friend named Hermione. over that time they have also thought that one of the teachers, Professor Snape, was going to steal, what the three found out, an object called the Sorcerers Stone by a man named Nicholas Flamel and was used to grant eternal life. once the night comes when they think he will go and steal it, they go in and get passed several of the teachers enchantments to get to the stone. When it is only Harry that gets to the end, he finds that it is not Snape but another teacher, Professor Quirrell, that was trying to steal it for his master named Voldemort, the man who had killed harry's parents but lost power after attempting to kill harry. Quirrell then grabbed Harry to get the stone from him but harry touched him, felt an intense pain and blacked out. once Harry woke up he was in the Hospital wing of the school sitting next to Professor Dumbledore, the Headmaster of Hogwarts. later that day, Harry went to supper and met his friends. a few weeks past and it was the end of the year at Hogwarts. Harry, Ron, and Hermione separated and went home.

what did you enjoy about the book?

i had enjoyed that it had magic, spells, monsters, a dragon, and all of the other mythical things in the book

what was the genre of the book

the genre is an adventure and fantasy. because Harry and his friends use magic and cast spells as well as they go around having adventures like playing Quidditch, battling trolls, and discovering secrets

was the ending satisfactory?

i thought I was satisfactory because once he gets home for the summer he doesn't have to live in the cupboard anymore and can scare his cousin dudley all he wants until Hogwarts starts again

i would recommend this book to anyone who wants to read books about adventure and magic
