Welcome back Star families! We hope you and your student had an enjoyable Wellness Week and were able to share some quality time and moments of gratitude with one another.
The Centennial Choir and Band are now preparing for the Spring musical - The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. There will be optional workshops held on Tuesday, December 5th 2:30pm-5:00pm and Wednesday, December 6th 2:45pm-4:30pm to give students an opportunity to be introduced to the audition songs and process.
It is mandatory for students to attend both days of auditions which will be held on Tuesday, December 12 2:45pm-5:00pm and Wednesday, December 13 2:45-4:30pm. Teen Impact Program
Interested in mentoring for your male student? Every Wednesday at Linden Community Recreation Center, boys ages 12-18 have the opportunity to meet with a mentor associated with the ICE organization.
ICE (Image, Character, Etiquette) is dedicated to enhancing the quality of man, encouraging all men to live to the best of their potential. They use school programming, community development and positive male influences to usher young men into manhood. Their goal; "to steer, shape and mentor young men, equipping them with the tools needed to prosper today, tomorrow and for generations to follow. Ice brings leadership to the heart of every man." Academic & Graduation Information
SME Education Foundation Scholarship Criteria:
- Must be a permanent resident or citizen of the United States or Canada , or have a U.S. or Canadian student visa.
- Must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Must be pursuing associates, bachelors, or graduate degree in manufacturing, engineering, or related field.
- Open to high school seniors or current college students.
- Students can be part time or full time to be eligible.
- Must be attending a University or Community College in the United States or Canada.
College Visit to Columbus State - December 5th
Centennial will be hosting a college visit for all seniors to Columbus State Community College on December 5th. Registration is required, please see flyer below for more details.

Everything You Need To Know About Staying On Track To Graduate
Step 1: Successfully earn credit for 21 courses (4 math, 4 English, 3 Social Studies, 3 Science, 1 Fine Arts, 1 Technology, 1 Adv. SS or Sci, .5 PE, .5 health, 3 general electives) plus 1 credit for 120 internship hours.
Step 2: Demonstrate Competency: By earning certain scores on state or national tests.
Step 3: Show Readiness by earning seals that exemplify your student's expertise in at least 2 academic areas out of a possible of 12.

November 1st, starts Centennial High School CBPTA’s Winter Flower and Greenery Fundraiser! Please help us fundraise to support student activities, sports, academics, arts and more at our school.

Key Dates:
- Sale starts: 11/1/2023 – Online Store is activated
- Sale ends: 11/14/2023 – Online Store closes at midnight
- Plant Delivery 12/1/2023 – Pick up your flowers at Gables Elementary from 4:00PM - 6:00PM
