5th Grade News
What's going on?
Your students have been helping to raise money to buy bibles to send to the Congo. After studying the holocaust, we decided we need to do something rather than just sit back and watch atrocities happen. The 8th grade found an organization called exile international- this is a rehab center for kids who've been forced to be child soldiers. They desperately want bibles! We've had cookie sales this week, and will continue to sell bracelets next week for $1. We will also be having a change drive starting Tuesday. Tuesday will be penny day- so bring your pennies, Wednesday will be nickle day- so bring your nickles, Thursday is dime day, and Friday is quarter day.
5/3: Talent Show- 12:30-2:00 (bring money to order snacks before the show- proceeds go to Greenhouse Ministries)
5/4: Field Day- for field day each class is assigned a color. Please wear a t-shirt that day in that color family. You may wear athletic shorts that day, (length must be no shorter than the fingertips when arms are resting at your side.) You will get wet, so please bring a change of clothes, as well as sunscreen and possibly a towel.
5/5: Chorus and Band Concert- 6:30 in Miller Gym
5/11: AR Reward Trip- This is also the LAST day to take AR tests
(Last day to test to earn Millionaire is 5/2)
5/13: Library Books Due
Remember- AR goal for this quarter is 50,000 words- you can do it!
