First Day Photo Tradition!
Welcome back students, families and staff!
Ella Joe Strong!
Happy September!
It's hard to believe we have completed our first month of school together! What a wonderful gift it continues to be to work with your children this year as they build positive leadership skills and celebrate progress toward learning goals that our teachers are committed to helping them develop and reach. Thank you for partnering with us in that journey each day!
There have been many exciting events recently! A huge highlight is that our school earned full accreditation and 100% of the points! That is testimony to the amazing teachers, parents, and kids we have here. Way to go! Attendance has been tremendous at several recent events too: From our Curriculum Night to our chocolate bar fundraiser, and from our Sonic night to Paradise Park Night. What special opportunities to come together as a school family! Coming soon, we will be scheduling parent-teacher conferences using the online scheduling system, Sign-Up Genius. Stay tuned!
Thank you for your continued partnership and support each and every day as together we help your child develop a love of learning. As always, please feel free to call me if you ever have a concern or question. I am happy to help.
I wish each of you in our school community a wonderful September! Here comes fall!
Warmly,
Michelle Hofmann, Principal
Sept. 15~ Chocolate Bar Fundraiser to add Elementary Technology Wraps Up!
Thank you to those who have already returned proceeds from boxes sold that were due Sept. 15. If you haven't yet, please return all proceeds ($52 per box) for any remaining boxes. Remember, no partial boxes are able to be accepted back.
We are grateful to you for helping us wrap up the fundraiser by returning final proceeds and so we can soon determine how many devices we are able to add to classrooms! We also look forward in announcing winners of our Chromebooks and drawings! Mark your calendar: Prize Level 2 winners of the Zoom Truck and Bounce House will take place one evening in the next few weeks. Stay tuned for date & times!

Online Grade Book Update & Delay
Due to ongoing improvements to the TeacherEase online gradebook site, access to the parent portion of our new gradebook will not be ready for release by September 15th. We apologize for the delay, but we are working directly with TeacherEase in order to provide a high quality product that meets the needs of our district. We are hopeful all upgrades will be complete by mid-October. More information will be provided as soon as it is available. Thank you for your patience, and we are excited about being able to offer parents greater access to their child's learning. Please feel free to contact your child's teacher with specific questions concerning their progress.

Friendly School Reminders & Opportunities
- For security of all kids and staff, welcome to our new secured vestibule/entrance! Please be prepared to present your State ID/Driver's License at the front desk. All visitors are also required to sign in and receive a visitor's badge to be worn visibly at all times. Please be sure to sign out before leaving.
- I.D.: Please be prepared to show ID anytime you are visiting our school or picking up a child. If we do not recognize you (and we try hard!), this measure ensures your child's safety and that of our school. Thank you for your support.
- We will continue to practice regular drills/procedures through out the year in classrooms and as a school for a variety of emergencies including fire/evacuation, tornado/shelter, and more. This year our staff was more extensively trained by professionals in what to do in the case of a violent intruder. Thanks to our district's leadership, we are even better equipped with the most effective strategies to protect and prevent our children in the case of a variety of emergencies.
- All cars join our north car rider line. Please remain in vehicles and ensure your child enters on the curbside of the car.
