Husky Howler
February 5, 2021
Dear Hill-Roberts Families,
We were very excited (and relieved!) to begin our pooled testing program this week. There was a lot of anxiety leading up to the day and I think most people, including myself, felt a sense of relief to have our first testing day under our belt. I'm pleased to report that overall, it went very smoothly and we're looking forward to getting our results soon. The company we are working with gave us a turnaround time of between 36 and 72 hours upon their receipt.
We are also excited to announce that Hill-Roberts will be piloting the pooled testing program for our younger students, starting with first-grade. A separate communication was sent to First-Grade families earlier today.
In order for this program to be successful, we need to have as high a participation rate as possible. If you have previously responded, "No" on the consent but wish to change your answer, you can follow the same steps (see below) and complete to consent form again. This is also true if you have previously responded, "Yes" on the consent but want to change your answer.
For more information please see the FAQ document that was created to answer questions surrounding the pooled testing program. The video below shows a first-grade and a fourth-grade Hill-Roberts student demonstrating the procedure.

Hello Hill-Roberts Parents and Families!
In physical education class, our huskies have been learning about the history of the largest sporting event in the world, the Olympics! We have focused and learned about 2 winter sports so far - Curling and Ice Hockey. Students participated in our school's version of both events during their scheduled physical education time. All students have also been learning all about how important it is to exercise and get our bodies moving during at-home learning days! How does your family stay active while remote learning? Please share pictures, videos, and/or stories to ksandrade@attleboroschools.com
