The Weekly Update

I extend a warm welcome to you on behalf of our faculty and staff. I look forward to continuing the traditions of excellence and the practice of putting students first. Our Green Hornet Pride is alive and well here at C. A. Johnson! We hope that you take time and visit our website, which will provide answers to your inquiries, useful information, and a snapshot of C. A. Johnson High School, where our mission is to ensure high levels of meaningful academic standards for all students through active collaborative partnerships with all stakeholders. Our students' academic success is very important to us, and research has shown that one of the significant drivers of student achievement is attendance. To maximize our instructional time, we need all students here every day on time and ready to work. Students that arrive to school after 8:10 am, will be required to be signed in by a parent to enter the building. On average we have between 70 to 80 students arriving to school between the time of 8:10 am and 9:00 am. This is does not support our theme this year of "Return to Excellence." Please support us as we continue to prepare students for life after high school.
