Important Dates
Meet the Teacher Night : August 22nd from 5-7 - you are welcome to bring your supplies
First Day of School: August 28th - class times 8:00-3:30
Procedures
Bus drop off - all bus students are dropped off at the side entrance. We do not allow parent drop off at this door.
Pick-up - Parent pick up is at the cafeteria doors. Parents, please stay in the car. Students must be loaded on the passenger side of the car. If this is not possible, parents will need to park and walk to the office to pick up the student. You will have a hanging tag for the car. Please make sure we can see it - especially at the beginning of the year. If you plan to park and walk up to pick up your child, you must go to the office. Students will not be dismissed from the cafeteria doors to adults that walk up to the door. Each child will also have a tag for their backpack that helps the adults know how the students dismisses each day. Please make sure this stays on the backpack all year.

Important Notice for Kindergarten Students
Dress Code
As you are out shopping for school clothes, please remember to follow the dress code.
DRESS AND GROOMING (All Grade Levels)
The district’s dress code is established to teach grooming and hygiene, prevent disruption, and minimize safety hazards. Students and parents may determine a student’s personal dress and grooming standards, provided that they comply with the following:
Fads that deviate from normal school dress will not be permitted.
The district prohibits pictures, emblems, or writing on clothing that:
are lewd, offensive, vulgar, or obscene
advertise or depict tobacco products, alcoholic beverages, drugs, or any other
substance prohibited under policy.
The student and his/her parent or guardian should share in the responsibility of proper grooming.
General Statements:
Students' hair must be clean, neatly groomed, and combed out of the eyes. No designs or symbols may be cut in the hair. Hair color must be a natural color with natural colored highlights if any.
No "tails" (long, thin braids of hair) will be allowed for boys or girls.
Tight fitting clothes are not to be worn.
Appropriate undergarments must be worn, but they are not to be seen.
Pants or shorts shall be appropriately sized and fitted at the waist
Shirts and blouses shall be appropriately sized. No skin shall be visible between
the shirt/top and pants, skirts, or shorts while standing, sitting, or bending.
Footwear must be worn. House shoes are not acceptable.
Caps or hats shall not be worn in the school building and must be kept in locker or backpack.
Tattoos must be covered.
No jewelry requiring body piercing is allowed (excluding earrings for girls). No spacers of any color are allowed, even if they are clear.
Trench coats and dusters may not be worn.
No holes in clothing. Clothing patches must be neatly sewn on the inside of garments using material matching the original garment.
Girls:
No halter tops, crop tops, backless, strapless, or spaghetti straps are allowed. Low cut dresses, blouses, or tops not allowed.
Dresses, skirts, or shorts that are too short will not be permitted. Length of skirt or
dress must allow one to walk, stoop, kneel, and sit with modesty. Slit skirts will not be permitted.
Boys:
Shirts with sleeves must be worn. Buttoned shirts must be kept buttoned unless
an undershirt is also worn. Tank tops may be worn under a shirt or over a shirt. Slit shirts, with ripped sleeves and/or ripped arm holes, will not be permitted.
No facial hair will be allowed. Sideburns may not come below the bottom of the ear and may not be wide-flared.
Hair shall not touch the eyebrows in front and shall not extend below the lobe of the ear on the sides. Hair shall not extend past the top of the shirt collar when the head is in an upright position. The collar shall be defined as a stand-up shirt collar (not a T-shirt type collar).
