News & Notes

Based on some dialog during our last Leadership Team Meeting, I would like to begin rotating between full faculty meetings & small-group team meetings each month. This will allow us to focus in on some topics as a faculty. I would like to start on 1/13 with a faculty meeting to talk about RTI & The CAST Team.

As you continue to plan for small-group instruction, please include the following in your lesson plans (this will provide FANTASTIC evidence for 1e).

  • Guided Reading: Text Level & Student Names - Remember, we want to see 3 groups daily.
  • Conferencing: Student Names
  • Mathematics: Skill Focus & Student Names

Scroll down to see our newest "monthly" column: Schoolwide Events! Here we will list important dates for the upcoming month...THANK YOU to Karen DeFrank for the idea!

BSI Updates: Moving forward we will be staggering how we enter/exit students in our BSI program. The Team & I will be evaluating their data in January to plan exits. This will help to ensure that F&P levels are secure & will help to prevent a revolving door.
