BTPS Weekly Update

November 22-26, 2021

Superintendent's Memo - Monday, November 22, 2021

Hi Team,

It is FOUR weeks until holidays! There is always lots to do as we move into holiday planning with students. I am excited to see our virtual holiday concerts, plays, and activities. It amazes me how creative our staff have been during the pandemic to ensure students have opportunities to share talents virtually with parents, relatives and loved ones.

The holiday season can also be a stressful time and there are mental health supports available for staff and students. Here are some resources to have handy:

- Mental Health Helpline (24 hours) - 1-877-303-2642

- Addiction Helpline - 1-866-332-2322

- Child and Youth Mental Health and Addiction Resources

Staff have access to the ASEBP Mental Health Website for resources and supports. Contact EFAP at 1-800-663-1142 to get connected with confidential counselling services.

November is Awareness Month for Osteoporosis, CPR, Crohn's and Colitis, and Diabetes.

National Gratitude Month is also in November and I would like to give a huge shoutout to Michelle Webb, who does an amazing job providing us all with motivation, inspiration and a focus on gratitude with her Wellness activities, quotes, challenges and emails.

Take care and enjoy the week,

Rhae-Ann
