BP Oil Spill
Baylee Atkins, 2nd period Civics
On April 20, 2010 a cement seal of oil failed in the Gulf of Mexico. This is known as the worst environmental disaster in U.S. history. Already this oil leak has took the lives of eleven workers. For 87 straight days oil has leaked. The federal government has estimated about 4.2 million barrels of oil spilled into the Gulf of Mexico. Five years after the spill the evidence still remains unclear. It appears that the Gulf of Mexico id healing itself.
