Initial Placement LPAC Training
Your campus has four calendar weeks from the enrollment date of each student to complete the testing and convene as an LPAC to determine the Emergent Bilingual (EB) status. This year, we have some new changes in store. We have organized four LPAC trainings specifically designed for Principals and Assistant Principals. After attending these trainings, administrators will be responsible for training your certified bilingual/ESL teachers and ARD representatives. Below, you will find the dates and times of the trainings, along with the link to sign up on Eduphoria.

LPAC meetings are to be scheduled and completed no later than September 8th. Submit paperwork to the LPAC Bank within three days.
Reclassification of EBs
Reclassification Criteria
- Achieve an Advanced High rating on all four domains of the TELPAS,
- Pass their English Reading STAAR if available,
- Attain a Positive Teacher Rubric
- LPACed with "Will re-classify pending scores" at the Annual Review LPAC in May.
Ellevation Accounts
MISD utilizes the Ellevation program as its primary database for Emergent Bilingual Students. The program's LPAC platform and storage of EB documents for each student are particularly valuable. If you have not yet created an Ellevation account, please take a moment to send me an email.
