Grizzly Community Update
Friday, November 18, 2022
We had another week full of activity on campus, specifically a great Spirit week that led into our Fall Rally on Thursday. Monday through Thursday we had different dress-up themes: Monday - Despicable me! (yellow and blue/dress as characters); Tuesday - World Cup! (jersey, team colors); Wednesday - Teen Beach (bikers vs surfers); and Thursday - The Elements (Class colors Fire, Water, Earth, and Air). Thursday's rally was a lot of fun with two songs played by our staff band, Partial Credit! I have never been on a campus with a staff band and their talent and execution was amazing. This group is an amazing component of the school spirit and culture on our campus.
Wednesday was also a very special day as we held our fall National Signing Day for students that have committed to continuing their academic and athletic careers at the college level next year. We were able to recognize 14 Grizzlies and their families!
Also on Wednesday, our PTSA also hosted a "Friendsgiving" lunch. The meal was excellent and it was great for our staff to enjoy lunch together. Thank you to the PTSA hospitality team for their time and effort. Our staff was feeling the love!
As a reminder that is no school next week for Thanksgiving Break. I hope that you are able to enjoy the time with loved ones and friends and reflect for all that you are thankful for. I want to thank you for your continued support of the California High School Community!
Have a great week!
Respectfully,
Mr. Ball
