School Site Council
McKinley and PACS School Site Council is seeking new school-site council members! Our school-site council is a decision-making body that helps drive our school-site plan and goals and advises on how we spend our school resources. The school-site council is composed of 5 parents and 5 faculty members. Ideally, we would have a balanced school-site council composed of 1 parent from TK/K, 1-2 parents from 1st-3rd, 1-2 parents from 4th-6th, and 1 parent from 7th-8th. All parents are invited to attend the school-site council meetings, however, elected members will be responsible for voting at these school-site council meetings.
If you are interested, please email Gina Roberts at groberts@petk12.org by September 9, 2022. Please write a few sentences about why you feel you would make a great addition to our School Site Council so I can include this information on the ballot if we have more parents interested than spots available.
Volunteering Guidelines
Our school nurse is available Tuesday mornings at McKinley to offer TB tests for anyone interested in volunteering on campus. Feel free to stop in at the office and ask for nurse Gigi and she will get you set up.
If you are interested in volunteering on campus, you will need to complete the District's volunteer application. In addition, all volunteers need to submit proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test within the last 24 hours.

PTA is Looking for Volunteers
The PTA has planned many initiatives throughout the school year, and we can’t do our work without our wonderful volunteers. We are especially looking for volunteers to fill the following roles:
PTA Financial Secretary
Assists the PTA Treasurer, Joe Stern, with day-to-day bookkeeping. Pays bills and processes reimbursements.
After School Enrichment coordinator
Works with vendors and teachers to schedule after school enrichment classes (martial arts, baking, chess, etc.) and coordinates enrollment.
If you have any questions or would like to volunteer, email our PTA president, Brett Goldstein, at mckptapres@gmail.com
Help us create a school directory!
Have you ever wanted to connect with other families for birthday parties, carpooling, playdates, questions about activities, etc? Us, too! We are putting together a private directory to help all our families do just that.
This directory will also allow your class parent to send out email messages from time to time to your entire class about important announcements. You’ll have the option to only share your contact information with your class parent and not in the full directory.
Fill out the form once per family here: bit.ly/MustangDir
