Our Special Day Is Coming Soon...

Time is drawing near! It will soon be time to join together once again for our annual Opening Convocation.


August 9th, 8:30am-4:00pm: Pre Conference for ELSSP-VI (Optional) at the Governor Morehead School. 301 Ashe Ave., Raleigh, NC.


August 10th, 8:30am-4:30pm: Day 1 of Opening Convocation for all ELSSP (Mandatory) at Department of Public Instruction, 301 N. Wilmington St, Raleigh, NC. Room 150


August 11th, 8:30am-4:30pm: Day 2 of Opening Convocation for all ELSSP (Mandatory) at Department of Public Instruction, 301 N. Wilmington St., Raleigh, NC.

If you plan to stay over night please contact the Holiday Inn Downtown Raleigh and let them know you are guaranteeing your reservation with a credit card. A reservation is already made in your name in the group block "Department of Public Instruction." Please do not make a new or duplicate reservation. You are simply guaranteeing the one already in the system. The room costs will be billed to DPI and your credit card will not be charged for the room. Your credit card will only be billed for any incidentals you purchase during your stay.


There is a $5 parking fee per day to park at the Hotel. Holiday Inn will direct bill DPI for parking fees as well.


A travel form has already been sent in and approved for you on your behalf for the entire convocation. You will need to submit the Travel Reimbursement Form after the convocation for Meal/Subsistence reimbursement.

MATERIALS at Cathy Building

The ELSSP-VI 2015-2016 Clean Up Committee have been diligently cleaning and organizing the Cathy Building located on the Governor Morehead School Campus. We have identified several toys, books, APH and other materials that are available for you to pick up and use for your instructional purposes. All teachers are welcome! If you would like to schedule time to access these materials, please contact Starla Wilson, Processing Assistant IV at 919-733-0533.

Braillers

If you requested for a brailler to be fixed, they will be ready for pick up on August 9th in conference room of the Simpson Building on GMS campus. Please make arrangements to have them picked up during the Convocation.
