Leading & Learning 3/30-4/3
Touching Base with weekly updates, tasks & info sharing
Fan Club, Celebrations and Birthdays!
Fan Club:
- From Cassie Hernandez: Leah Howell is the best. She is always calm and sincere in her approach to sharing information and problem- solving. In a Zoom this week I kept hearing a deafening sound of the email ping. I took a quick peek at my email. However, the repeat pings were coming from Leah’s email. No matter what is happening she remains present and positive. Thanks Leah!
- From Rebecca Wright: Major appreciation for Raul Gonzalez for providing so much support and guidance to the IB math teachers developing their Canvas courses.
- From our friends at JMMES: Way to go, Pasco eSchool team, Leading and Learning, Student Support Programs and Services, Technology and Information Services, and our stellar Superintendents’ Staff. You are leading us through unchartered territory and we appreciate the thoughtful execution of every step!
Fan Club Challenge:
We challenge each of you to find something fabulous in the work of a peer this week and when you do, send a quick note to Sam and Lea so we can share the awesomeness.

Elective & Unique Course Planning
OLL staff in partnership with many wonderful teachers have been working to ensure all elective, special area, or singleton teachers are prepared for content delivery through Canvas. Here is the secondary and elemenrtary spreadsheet with plans for rollout and delivery of all of these courses. Additionally, the courses that are teacher created should be reviewed by admin prior to the delivery of the content. Please reference this checklist that can help guide your work and conversation with your administrator. There is a separate checklist for AP/AICE/IB courses.
Work Schedule Until 4/15/19
- Hours: Must be available and reachable from 8:00-4:30 each day (via email, text or call)
- Work Topics and Expectations: Click here for specific details each role
- Documentation of "Tasks" during regularly scheduled day
- All staff will be asked to outline daily work tasks on their Office 365 calendar. It will be an expectation that these tasks are made available for viewing of all details by your immediate supervisor and department director.
Learning Network Timeline
Now with our shift to full distance learning, our teachers and students will have the experience and potentially the appetite for student courses aligned to our core resources. I would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE for this to be prioritized for 20-21. Continue to engage and reflect on what is offered to us via distance learning and think through how you might be able to design and support in your content area.
