Story Lunch

Monday, April 14th, 11:30am-12:15pm

Central Elementary Learning Commons

All second graders are invited to story lunch this week! Your teacher will let you know which day your class is invited to attend. I hope you can make it! We will be reading one of our featured books!

Featured Books

We have some great books for you this week! Make sure to fill out an entry form if you read any of our featured books. A winner will be chosen on Friday!

About Patricica Polocco

Patricia Polocco has written over 50 books for children. She bases all of her stories from either real life experiences, or stories that have been passed down in her family. She struggled learning how to read as a child, but overcame her challenges and became one of the most well known authors of all time! Make sure you visit her website (above) and be on the look out for hidden QR codes in the learning commons. Correct answers earn you an extra drawing for a book!

Upcoming Events: Scholastic Book Fair

The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to our school! Set up will begin next week. The book fair will be open beginning April 21st all the way to May 2nd. Save your pennies and dimes up for some great books! Are you still reading?? The first two people who can tell me who the author of the month is will earn a library buck!
Book Fair Fun!

Watch the book fair previews to decide which books you would like to purchase.

Video Book Talk

Our book talk this week is given by Millie Iden. Millie is a kindergartner here at Central. Her favorite books are from the Fancy Nancy series. She recently read the book Sofia the First and wants to tell you all about it!
