January 7th - 10th is Mittens Week!

We have so many fun activities planned using mittens! We can count them, talk about their color, compare sizes, and so much more. But reading the story "The Mitten" is one of our favorites.
The Mitten - Read Aloud w/ Animal Noises & Sound Effects.

Fun Friday!

We will try to have a fun activity for the whole school every Friday. Information will be posted here, on our Willson Preschool Facebook page, flyers and Class Dojo!

Friday December 10th - Dance Party! All Willson classes will meet in the gym to jam out to our favorite tunes. Wear your dance gear!

Family Fun!

The Family Fun section of our digital newsletter will focus on a fun, family activity that reinforces the theme that we are working on in school. It will be a story, a song, or an outdoor activity that everyone can work on together.

You can make you very own mitten matching game at home! Using scrapbook paper or wallpaper samples, cut out two of the same paper. Then mix them all up. When you find 2 matching mittens you can clip them together. This activity can help with color identification and fine motor skills. Enjoy!

The Carnegie Museum of Montgomery County will be having winter break science activities December 18th through January 4th. They are open from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Wednesday through Saturday. They will have hands on fun for everyone and it's FREE! Stop by and check it out.

Take some snapshots or video of your family enjoying this activity and send them through the Willson Preschool Facebook page. We will share your pictures so everyone can see our awesome Willson families!

Substitute teachers needed!

Do you love kids? Are you looking for a fun job with a flexible schedule? Be a substitute teacher! Go to and check out the qualifications. If you don't quite meet the qualifications you can call our Central Office at 765-362-2342 and discuss. Do you know someone that would be interested? Share this info!

Transportation notes

We are still having children returned to school because there is no one to meet them at the bus stop. It's impossible for the drivers to arrive at exactly the same time every day due to traffic, trains, construction and varying schedules. Please be ready and waiting 15 minutes before your scheduled pick up and drop off time. Please read the transportation notice below!

If your child misses the bus picking them up and you can bring them to school, please drop off in car line. Our car line meets in the parking lot off Wabash Ave. Doors do not open for school until 7:50 AM for AM classes and 11:20 AM for PM classes. You cannot drop off earlier than those times.
