Lieck & Brennan Libraries Team-up for World Read Aloud Day
Tammy says, "Each assistant chose one of their favorite picture books to share and the kids really enjoyed it. They sat and listened and cheered. They even had a chance to ask the assistants some questions about how they pick books for themselves in the library and what college they are going to. (They were Seniors) It was a nice way for them to get a chance to see their future high school library. It also gave the assistants a good opportunity to practice their read aloud skills and interaction with young students in their surrounding community. We are planning more read aloud sessions this year. It's our goal to collaborate more in the future in more cross curricular ways in order to foster our sister school relationships."
