"Fall"ing into Another School Year!
Media Center Services
If you need any classroom equipment, such as student response clickers, TV's, projectors, digital cameras, a video recorder, let us know. There is a blue Media Equipment form at the check-out desk that can be filled out for equipment needed and dates of use.
Newspapers in Education is a program that can get copies of The Youngstown Vindicator or Tribune Chronicle delivered to your classroom for Current Events studies. Copies of both papers are delivered daily to the media center. Come in and catch up on all local news.
We will do your laminating for you. Just lay your items on top of the machine in the side room off the media center. Make sure your name is attached and we will get the job done.
Students visiting the media center during the school day without a classroom teacher, will need a blue library pass signed by the teacher. This ensures that students are to be where they should be. The pass will be initialed by media staff when students return to the classroom.
As in the past, library book overdue notices will be put into your teacher mailbox. We ask for your cooperation in distributing them to your homeroom students as soon as you receive them.
The media center still has 2 multi-media carts available for use. Both carts have laptops, projectors, speakers , and DVD/VCR players. Also available for loan is an ipad and NOOK e-reader.
Discovery Education
Our subscription to Discovery Education has been renewed. This service not only allows classroom teachers to view and download videos for classroom instruction, but other key resources and tools help you get the most out of your account in order to transport your students to places beyond the classroom into a world of discovery. If you want to establish an account, a school passcode is needed. Stop in for this information.
INFOhio Webpage
Free Resources for Teachers and Students!
New Look for the INFOhio website!
INFOhio has published new flyers for the 2014-2015 school year. Copies of these can be found in your school mailbox. The flyers tell how to get started using the new INFOhio website; list all available resources for teachers and students; and provide information for students to be successful with online tests.
Home access to the INFOhio webpage requires a username and password in order for students' and teachers' home computer to be authenticated. Our district has its own username and password, but for security reasons we cannot publish it digitally. Just ask. We can provide you with that information. You only need to enter the username and password the first time you connect.
