C.I.T.Y. News
And, thanks to our amazing committees, we have lots of events to discuss!
Remember, all of our events are also listed on our website and on our Google Calendar.
Our regional contacts are now hosting monthly parent coffee meetings scheduled in the NW Suburbs, West Suburbs, and South Suburbs. The next meetings will be on Saturday, 9/29, so try and find some time to make this a priority for you...it's an hour of adult-only conversation and laughter. Please see the flyers below for details.
*We are working to finalize plans for a City of Chicago and potential "East Suburb" location (Skokie) for additional monthly parent coffee groups. We are still searching for a volunteer to help facilitate these meetings in the North Suburbs. Please contact me if you are interested, as they are a great way to meet other people in the community!
Education Roundtable Series: Real Experiences from the Medical Diagnostic Clinic: A Variety of Perspectives on Wednesday, 10/10 from 5:00-7:00pm
This first topic in our series is called "Real Experiences From the Medical Diagnostic Clinic," as this is a frequent post within the C.I.T.Y. of Support Facebook Group. Come to hear what our knowledgeable panel can share from their own personal experiences and find support resources within our community. This event is applicable for both parents and professionals, and Early Intervention continuing education credits are currently pending approval.
We hope to post the discussion on YouTube following our meeting, so that even if you are unable to make it to the meeting, you can type in questions and participate virtually.
Reserve your spot today. Space is limited.
Playgroups and Family-Friendly Events
Monthly Early Intervention Playgroup on Tuesday morning, 9/11 from 10:00-11:00am

Throughout the program, families can explore various play stations, enjoy refreshments and meet one another, finding support and resources within the community. Not-Your-Typical Fundraising Opportunities
Rockin' Shoppin' in the C.I.T.Y.-A Holiday Gift Event on Friday evening, 11/2 from 7:30-9:30pm
Holiday shopping has never been this fun! With unique gifts, live music (a ukulele band!), wine tasting, and appetizers we will be able to mingle in the perfect festive and child-free environment. We have commitments from some amazing vendors, all who are contributing at least 10% of their sales to our organization and a raffle basket (at least a $50 value). All are welcome to this community-building fundraiser: parents, therapists, community members...It will be a great way to meet other people in our C.I.T.Y. of Support while crossing some holiday gifts off our checklists.
Reserve your hour of personal shopping indulgence by clicking here to register. Space is limited, so don't wait!
Tickets for the raffle can be purchased in person or online through our website starting in mid-October (in order to accommodate those people who may not be able to attend), and winners will be announced at the conclusion of the event. You do not need to be present to win, and items can be picked up at a later date! So many reasons to celebrate and ways to participate in our C.I.T.Y....come kick off the holiday season with us!
