Is Activated Charcoal Good For You OR Your Teeth? I Decided to Ask...
Here's What She Said!
"It's (charcoal toothpaste) scary because no one knows what's in it cause it's super abrasive. There's no clinical evidence and patients end up getting allergic reactions because it's super abrasive and can wear away enamel."
And then I asked her if she would ever recommend using charcoal toothpaste to her patients...
"No, because it's completely unproven. It's like brushing your teeth with dirt- you might as well get it from your backyard and brush your teeth with the dirt from your back yard!"
