February Trait: KindnessWe are excited to work on the trait of kindness this month. We are also working to have students perform random acts of kindness. Random Acts of Kindness Day is February 17. | KindergartenersThe students in Senorita Villarreal’s kindergarten class was learning about how vibrations can cause objects to make sound. They created their own instrument and used “cera” wax paper, “aluminio” aluminum foil and “plastico” syran wrap at the end of a toilet paper roll that had a hole in the side for the air to vibrate against the material. The students did a great job. They used the Spanish language for this lesson. | Senorita Gonzalez’s classIn math the students were learning about pictographs and bar graphs. They were also learning about attributes and were playing a game where they had to guess what attribute the pictures had in common. |

Counseling LessonMrs. Flores worked with our 4th graders on a Kindness lesson and offering random acts of kindness. Students discussed how it feels when others are unkind versus how it feels when others are kind. | Mrs. Baker’s Class:It was a pleasure to be in Mrs. Baker’s class. The 5th graders were working on recreating a naval battle from the war of 1812. It was great to see students work together and support each other. Each group set goals for the day and wrote about how they would contribute to the work during this lesson. | Resident Family RegistrationRegistration is now open for all of our in boundaries Ventana Vista families. Please register as soon as possible so that we can budget for our staffing for next school year. Any questions, please contact the front office. |
