A Message from Mrs. Caudill
Thank you to everyone for being so welcoming. I feel so blessed to be here and excited for the school year. The second week of school has been full of learning, laughing, thinking, and growing. Students are adjusting to school routines and schedules. Teachers and staff members have focused these first few weeks on building positive relationships and establishing clear expectations.
Thank you for sharing your children with us. It is an honor to learn, think, and grow with all of you. My door is always open and I encourage you to stop in or call to make an appointment to discuss any concern or suggestion to help make sure this is the best year yet!

On Wednesday, September 18, 2019 we will be hosting curriculum night. Teachers will give presentations about their curriculum along with classroom and school expectations. Parents will be given resources on how they can support their learner(s) both academically and socially/emotionally.
Due to teacher presentations, this is a Parents Only event. Please keep in mind that due to childcare reasons, parents may still bring their student(s) if the need arises. We would rather have you attend with your child than not attend at all.
- 6:00 PM Grades K -2
- 6:45 PM Grades 3-5
We understand some parents have multiple students in K-2 or 3-5. K-2 teachers will give at second presentation at 6:45 if needed. 3-5 teachers, will also give a 6:00 presentation if the need arises.
Also, please make sure you stop by the main lobby, and meet our new principal, Mrs. Devon Caudill. She will be hosting a "Coffee with Mrs. Caudill" event. She is looking forward to meeting everyone, and having a friendly conversation over a cup of coffee.
Thank You for Volunteering in the Media Center!
Thanks to all of you who volunteered to help in media. We currently have enough volunteers for the 2019-2020 school year.

Front Door Security
Thank you for your continued patience and understanding as we make student safety a top priority. Thanks to the Bond generously approved by our community in November 2017, our building renovations this summer included a more secure entrance at Amerman. Please be ready to identify yourself before you enter the building by stepping in front of the camera and greeting our administrative assistant with your name and reason for visit. Upon entry to the building vestibule , you will need to ring the bell again to gain entrance into the office.
Please be patient with this process as school security and students in need of assistance may delay your entry to the building. We appreciate your ongoing feedback and cooperation in following safety protocols to keep our Bobcats safe.
Birthday Treats/ Celebrations
Please remember Northville's policy on “no edible” birthday treats. This has become a necessity for our building due to student and staff allergies and other medical reasons. We know that your child’s birthday is a very special day and each teacher will make sure your child is recognized on their special day. If you have any questions about this, please do not hesitate to contact your child’s teacher or the Amerman office.
