MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Good Evening Otter Families!
As we conclude this week and look forward to a long weekend, please take a moment to ask your child about our PAWS expectations. Students have been working with school staff to develop our PAWS expectations in the areas of "A" and "S" during the first part of the school year. Students have been doing an excellent job identifying expected behaviors and our staff has been doing an excellent job taking the time to collaborate with students and teach expectations.
"A" = Act Responsibly - I can take responsibility for my behavior
"S" = Safety First - I can follow all routines and procedures
Student and staff input will be gathered and incorporated into the school-wide expectations matrix that will be shared in the month of October.
Finally, the air conditioning in the K-2nd grade area of the building has been restored using the temporary unit. The temperatures have held steady since Tuesday evening and are quite comfortable! Updates will not be continued unless needed to communicate any changes regarding the air conditioning unit.
Otterly Yours,
Mrs. Anderson (My email remains the same for now, lpdietz@smcps.org)
