Polymer
The amino acids above form a molecule named Polypeptide, which is the polymer.
Examples
Protein is everywhere, believe it or not! The enzyme pepsin in the stomach that helps break down food is a protein. Also, the hormone insulin that sends out messages to the body is also a protein. Another protein is Hemoglobin, which helps blood carry oxygen.
Functional groups
There are four groups- Hydrogen, Amines, and carboxyl group with a varied for the fourth.
However, hydrogen amines and carboxyls are always there.
Functions
Proteins are involved with all cell func
