Rann Gives

Live Thankfully Kick-off

Rann Elementary is once again participating in Live Thankfully, a county wide effort sponsored by Mallory Orthodontics to provide turkey dinners and groceries to needy families in Wise County. Please help with this project by bringing in suggested food items listed below. The food drive at Rann has already begun and will end on Friday, Dec. 11th. Your family is invited to attend the “Party With a Purpose” at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 13th at McCarroll Middle School in Decatur. We will be joining other volunteers in Wise County to package the groceries collected from our local food drives. This is sure to be a meaningful and fun way for you and your family to help those in need.

Suggested donation items:

Canned vegetables (green beans, corn, sweet potatoes, etc.)

Canned fruit (cranberry sauce, fruit cocktail, peaches, etc.)

Boxes or pouches of side dish items (macaroni & cheese, stuffing, instant potatoes, cornbread mix, etc.)

Miscellaneous non-perishable items (peanut butter, jelly, canned pumpkin, etc.)

Boxed dessert mixes (cakes, cookies, muffins, brownies, etc.)

It's Time to "Just Give"

Rann PTO is collecting anything NEW that can help those in need stay warm this winter. This is for all ages of kids and adults. Collections will be distributed throughout Decatur. We would love your support! Examples: blankets, socks, scarves, toboggans, and mittens or anything else you would like to give. Collections will be taken at Rann Elementary till December 15.

Rann Caroling

Rann third and fourth grade students will begin singing Christmas Carols in the hallway this Friday. If you have never been in to hear their sweet voices, please try to make it in between now and the 17th. They will also be sharing their Christmas spirit throughout the community at Wal-Mart, Governor's Ridge, DISD Central Office & Learning Ladder on Thursday morning the 17th. Be on the lookout for our Rann Carolers!

1st Grade Rocks with Socks

1st grade will once again be doing their giving project with visiting local nursing homes and collecting socks with texture on the bottom of them for the elderly. If you have a heart to support the elderly please bring socks with grippers on the bottom to the front office between now and the 11th. We will see that 1st grade gets the socks to deliver on their visit.
