First Grade Vocal Performance
We are excited for you to join us for the first-grade show on February 13th. We invite students to dress up for the concert. Wristbands will be sent home with your child’s teacher. Please have all adult attendees wear wristbands. Parking will be available in the Holy Rosary lot. Please proceed through the side gate to the Memorial Drive entrance.
Student Entrepeneurs
Students in Ms. Georgioudakis’ class opened their own hot chocolate stands to celebrate National Hot Chocolate Day on January 31st. They spent the month engaged in research, planning, problem-solving, and writing.
They researched different ways to make hot chocolate and wrote a how-to book for the world's best hot chocolate. They designed and built their stands and were busy creating advertisements and invitations. They set goals for the amount of money they wanted to raise and decided where to donate the proceeds.
They welcomed customers from Dr. Schoener’s class and practiced problem-solving, math, and customer service.
With Valentine’s Day around the corner, our kindergarten classes have opened their hearts for a good cause. The children made and decorated hearts for NY Pet Rescue Animal Shelter! These hearts will be used for their Valentine's Day fundraiser. Thank you to Ms. Carrea for organizing this drive. With every donation made to the shelter, a heart will be added to the shelter wall. If you would like to help them reach their goal by making a donation or are interested in adopting an adorable cat or dog, you can use the link below. We think our kindergarteners are truly pawsome!
