Do you have an interest in neuroscience and want to be surrounded by people with a similar passion? Then the Undergraduate Neuroscience Society might be right for you! UNS will be holding their second meeting TOMORROW Tuesday, September 18th at 6 pm at Weiss Hall, Room 615. We will be discussing how to get a research position, and what options are available to you! TU Operation Smile GBM Tuesday 9/18!
Temple University Operation Smile is an organization that works to fundraise for cleft palate and cleft lip surgeries in developing countries and participates in community service throughout the Philadelphia community. Our first general body meeting is Tuesday, September 18th at 5 pm in the HGSC Room 223. This is the perfect opportunity to learn how to be a member, meet other members, and enjoy some snacks(!). We hope to see you there!"
24 HOUR STAIR CLIMB EVENT AT THE ART MUSEUM STEPS - PARTICIPANTS NEEDED!
The event, CoreFitness PHL24, is a Parks & Recreation sanctioned event, sponsored by the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center to benefit Legacy of Hope. This is a non-profit organization that helps to support local families who are experiencing financial hardship due to a cancer diagnosis. The organization helps to pay rent, utilities and to buy groceries for families who are experiencing severe financial hardship, as well as to fund promising cancer research at four major cancer centers in Philadelphia.
We encouraging college students to grab their friends, student orgs, roommates, etc...to create a team and climb with us at the Art Museum steps on Thursday Sept 20th - Friday Sept 21st. Registration rates between the hours of 1 AM and 5 AM are just $10 through Friday and after that - they can use coupon code "STUDENT" for $10 off registration at any time. Water and snacks will be provided. Entertainment is being arranged (not secured yet, but hopefully the Sixers Dance Team members will be there too). 100% of registration fees (and sponsor fees) will go to Legacy of Hope.

Join Temple's Mock World Health Organization
Interested in global or public health? Working for international organizations? Developing health resolutions for review by the World Health Organization? Working in journalism or the media? If you said yes to any of those questions, consider joining Temple's Mock World Health Organization, which will you give the opportunity to learn more about global health policies, as well a the experience to work in various organizations and introduce you to the role of the media in public health!
The mission of AMWHO is to to form university chapters and model-WHO conferences, or simulations of the World Health Organization’s World Health Assembly, across the United States of America.
The goals of AMWHO are to initiate student engagement in health policy advocacy, create an atmosphere allowing students to form life-long networking connections with similarly passionate individuals, enrich the university’s educational curriculum through interactive experiences with global institutions such as the World Health Organization, and convene students interested in various departments like global studies, global health, healthcare policy, and public policy to discuss and exchange ideas.
There will also be many opportunities to travel and interact with like-minded students from across the country. Diamond Winterguard Auditions
Want to keep up with color guard but don’t want to pay over $2000 for independent groups? Miss the rush of performing the sport of the arts? Have no fear! Diamond Winterguard is having our second season this winter! The award-winning competitive group plans to perform in 5 competitions within the circuit of MAIN this year. Color guard or dance experience preferred. Auditions will be held on September 28th in the Presser/Tyler courtyard from 7-10pm *subject to change*
