Strategic Planning!
Our College is entering the exciting phase of developing our next Strategic Plan. Thank you to our College Board and Staff Team who worked together on a focussed retreat over the last weekend in February.
The workshops held during the retreat encouraged us to think beyond the learning of today and focus on the future of our students. A contemporary approach to learning where we focus on the academics and the whole child is critical to ensuring we give each student the best opportunities that we can at Trinity. We are grateful for the support of our amazing facilitators, Mr Derek Bartels from Lutheran Education Queensland and Mrs Kim Powell and Mr Shane Patterson from Lutheran Education Victoria.
In coming weeks, each family will be invited to participate in a survey, 'Navigate'. This survey tool will invite your feedback on the College at this point in time and ask for your thoughts and ideas on the best ways our college can improve moving forward.
It is important for us to give all stakeholders a voice in this process with the students also being asked to contribute their feedback and ideas for the future.

College Events - Update
Trinity Lutheran College has a wonderful tradition of Grandparents Day and a new tradition growing of our lovely learning celebrations, Twilight @ Trinity.
We are planning on going ahead with both of these events in 2022! With so many building works on campus currently we are planning to host these once our courtyard facility and Hattah building upgrade is completed and back in use. We can't wait to share with you our completed Hattah and Mungo buildings as we know you will love them as much as we do! That first stage of our building program is set for completion at the start of June.
As such the following dates are a guide:
- Grandparents Day is tentatively scheduled for late August / early September
- Semester 1 Twilight @ Trinity will be held later in Term 2
- Semester 2 Twilight @ Trinity and Year 10 Personal Project Exhibition is set for September 13th.
We will confirm dates as soon as possible and can't wait to welcome guests back to the College.
Parent Information Session's
We invite parents to come and join us for two information nights in coming weeks. These evenings are designed to share with parents an overview of the primary and secondary years at Trinity. Information shared will include:
- Understanding the PYP and MYP programs
- Routines and Structures of the primary and secondary years
- Specialist Staff and Supports @ Trinity
These events will be held in the Sunset Hall. All parents who choose to attend will be asked to practice COVID-19 safe procedures. We understand that we have families who may not be able to attend the face-to-face sessions and as such we will record them and share a link for you to watch a video replay after the evenings.
Primary Information Sessions - Wednesday 23 March - 6pm in Sunset Hall
COVID-19 Update
We thank our families for continuing to support us in the COVID requirements of schools.
While it is no longer mandated for secondary students to wear masks, the College encourages all students to wear them when working indoors in close contact to others. The mandate remains in place for students in Years 3-6 students to wear masks while inside at school.
The next delivery of RA Tests to families will be early next week. We thank you for your support in following the Victorian Government recommendation of twice weekly testing.
As we approach our Year 7 & 8 camps, please be advised there are additional requirements in place for schools and students to follow. This includes a RA Test the morning of camp and secondary students being encouraged to test on the morning of Day 4 at camp. Specific information has been sent to the families of Year 7 &8 students.
Thank you for your ongoing support of our College as we all work together to limit community transmission as much as possible.
Swimming Carnival Results
This year for the first time the Year 3-10 Swimming Carnival was held at the Red Cliffs Pool. The venue provides a lot more shade and space for the students and spectators.
It was great to see the involvement of those who participated, and the house spirit displayed at both our Year 3 - 10 Carnival and our Prep - Year 2. We were so pleased to see the willingness of our students to compete on both days. It was simply amazing!
With a new venue for our Year 3-10 Carnival this means that new records will be created. Times are going to be held for the next 3 years and then records set will be acknowledged with a certificate.
Thank you to our parent volunteers who helped us out on the day, we couldn't run our carnivals without your support! It was also lovely to welcome so many of you as spectators across the two days. How nice it is to be getting back to the fun events in our schools!
Congratulations to all students and House Teams in the results below:
Our Primary Staff - Evidencing Learning
As lifelong learners, all our primary teachers have been engaging in a four-week online IB professional development around Evidencing Learning. We have been deepening and broadening our understanding of assessment and shifting focus to evidencing learning. As we build on our wealth of knowledge, we continue to develop learning engagements to meet students at their individual developmental stage and scaffold and support them in their continued growth, using the evidence of the student’s learning to feedforward and decide where to next for each student.
Traffic Safety
For those parents who use the La Paedeleure Avenue gate can we ask that you please be mindful of parking and ensure you do not block residents driveways or park on their grassed footpaths.
We have had some local residents contact the college, quite upset. Your support is most appreciated.
2023 Prep and Year 7 Enrolments
Trinity is seeing an influx in demand and we would like to make sure that our current families are able to attend. Now is the time to complete your Application for Enrolment. Applications can be completed online or call to speak to Pasqualina Pascale for additional enrolment information.
