Walkathon Information!
Our 11th Annual Walk-A-Thon will take place during the school day on Thursday, September 28th, rain or shine. The Walk-A-Thon is an exciting opportunity for students to raise money to benefit our school, simply by enjoying a walk on the school track with their friends and teachers! Students will collect pledges from family members and friends in the weeks leading up to the Walk-A-Thon, with a promise to walk at least one mile as a thank you for their support. Students will have the chance to earn prizes based on the pledges that they collect, including gift cards, gift baskets, and more!
The Walk-A-Thon is one of our leading fundraisers, and all of the money collected goes directly back to our students and staff at EH Greene. Last year, the Walk-A-Thon raised over $21,000, and we would love to do that again!! Please consider supporting this great cause by sponsoring your child and seeking the support of those around you. If you are interested in volunteering to help with Walkathon, please email Carrie Dippold at cdippold@yahoo.com, or Diane VanderBrink at dvanderbrink@yahoo.com. Additional information and pledge envelopes will be coming home with students in the Green Envelopes next week on September 14th.
Also we will be giving back to our local community by collecting GENTLY used adult and kid shoes(*no cleats or dance shoes*) to Cincinnati's Freestore FoodBank 'Back on Track' program. A shoe collection bin will be in entrance starting next week.

PBIS for Parents - Hallway Expectations
This week’s spotlight video demonstrates hallway behavior. You’ll notice we expect students to quietly walk on the right side of the hall, keeping their hands to themselves. Locker time is also featured in the video. This can be a challenge at Greene with lots of kids in a small space. Talking with your child about how to handle this challenging time is a great help to our teachers! This is a time when being safe, responsible and respectful is an absolute must! Good problem solving skills help too! Enjoy the video and talk with your child about these challenging times of the day.

Blue Ash Elementary PTO’s Haunted Festival
Haunted Festival is the Blue Ash Elementary PTO’s largest annual family fun night. Many volunteers will be needed to set up, run games, activities, and tables during Haunted Fest! We would love your help by working one shift such as running a game or selling food. We need 300 volunteers to make this festival run smoothly! Adults and children in 5th grade or higher are welcome as volunteers. This is a wonderful opprutunity for grandparents, aunts, uncles, and high school students. Choose the shift and assignment you want and you may select to work with a friend. We can’t wait to see you! If you have questions please contact Debbie Flinchpaugh-Kirby at baevolunteers@gmail.com
