This course will teach you how to read the Qur'an properly.

| Day 1: Letter recognition (separated and joined) – 1.5 hours
Saturday, October 6, 4:00 to 5:30pm
| Day 2: Fathah, Dhammah, Kasrah and application – 1.5 hours
Sunday, October 7, 4:00 to 5:30pm
| Day 3: Fathatayn Dhammatayn and Kasratayn and application – 1.5 hours
Saturday, October 20, 4:00 to 5:30pm
| Day 4: Huroof ul Madd and vowels in Arabic – 1.5 hours
Sunday, October 21, 4:00 to 5:30pm
| Day 5: Sukoon and application of vowels and sukoon – 1.5 hours

Instructor: Ustadh Usman Siddiqui
Usman Siddiqui was born in Detroit, Michigan, and grew up in Toronto, Canada. He is currently working on an Ijaazah in the Ten Qiraa'aat and his Hifdh with Shaykh Uthman Khan and an Ijaazah in Hafs with Shaykh 'Alaa Elsayed. He is also undergoing a 5 year program with the Al Kauthar Students Guild. Usman is one of the directors and founders of the Shatibiyyah Institute for Tajweed and Qiraa'aat and teaches there. He is the Administrator and Public Relations Officer of the Canadian Dawah Association (www.cdadawah.com). He teaches Tajweed at ISNA Canada and also organized many youth programs and events there. In the Classical Martial Arts, Usman is studying Goju Ryu Karate-do through the chain of Gogen Yamaguchi, Okinawan Kobudo, Aiki-Jujitsu from the Daito ryu system, and Iaido. On occasion, Usman works as a Software Developer and is studying Business at the University of Waterloo.
New Muslim Care
New Muslim Care is an engaging program led by a team of dedicated Muslims who seek to make a positive impact in the lives of those who have accepted Islam. The goal is to nurture our new Muslim brothers and sisters, and ensure retention by providing them with the necessary support and resources to make the journey into Islam easier. Other outcomes include integration of new Muslims into local Muslim communities, empowerment of new Muslims through seminars and education, as well as awareness campaigns of the struggles new Muslims face within the existing Muslim community.
