This week at the pool...
KMSC news for 7/23 - 7/29
Planning Is Under Way for Teen Night
We will be having our annual Teen Night on Sunday, August 6, from 7 p.m.-10 p.m.
Bring a raft! Bring a friend! The cost is just $5 (members and nonmember guests).
Special ice cream treats will be provided.
This event is being organized by Amie Wohlfarth. If you can help with the party, please contact her at simplyamie831@gmail.com.
Ladies Rock the Night
Twenty ladies enjoyed a beautiful evening Tuesday, eating, talking and lazing in the pool after hours.
They also were introduced to KEEP jewelry from
https://www.keepcollective.com/soc/989i6 where buyers can use the Design Studio tool to create modern renditions of the charm bracelet.
If you have questions about the collection, contact our rep at mindygfarrell@yahoo.com.
Many thanks to Alyssa Parness for donating the bottle of wine used as the door prize, and to Amie Wohlfarth (pictured below right) for hosting the event.
Also thanks to our socials director Sherri Spritzer (at left) for arranging the Ladies Nights, Pizza Nights, Fourth of July crafts and games, and all our other activities for the summer!
Please give them your thanks the next time you see them at the pool.
The next Ladies Night will be Tuesday, August 15, hosted by former pool president April Rivers.
It's Pizza Night Again Sunday!
We've got another Pizza Night at the Pool on Sunday, July 23, during rafting!
We'll be selling Ben Yehuda pizzas for $3 slice, $5 for two slices and $20 for an entire pie, cash or credit (a transaction fee will apply for the latter), poolside from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. or while supplies last.
We need more help for this weekly social. Please volunteer to pick up or sell the pizzas through this Sign-up Genius link.
As you can see (below), the pizzas and rafting are drawing crowds!
Coming Up Next
Your pool board's next meeting is Thursday, July 27, 7:30 p.m., poolside. Please plan on attending to let your officers know how things are going!

A Message from the President
Greetings all,
Based on some comments I’ve had from several members and my own observations, I thought it would be helpful to review lap-lane etiquette. Please share these comments with your children as well.
- The lap lanes are exclusively for swimming laps. Playing should take place in other parts of the pool.
- When crossing the lap lanes to get from one end of the pool to the other, please use caution so as not to interfere with the lap swimmers and to avoid collisions. Those exiting the diving well should use the ladder to the right of the diving board (on the same side as the slide). The lap swimmer ALWAYS has right-of-way.
- Lap lanes may be used by more than one swimmer. A swimmer wishing to enter a lane already in use should first get the attention of the swimmer already in the water to discuss how to share the lane (“circle swim” or “split the lane”). This discussion will help swimmers to avoid collisions.
- The lane ropes are not intended to support a swimmer’s weight. Please go under the ropes to cross them.
Questions/concerns about the use of lap lanes should be directed to the operator on duty.
- Cynthia Brandt Campagna
