What's Happening at GRMS/GRHS?
Greetings!
November was an exciting month here at here at the middle/high school. Our high school students were able to attend our annual College and Career Fair. Our middle school students (grades 7 and 8) had a fun dance on Friday of last week hosted by the middle school student council. This month, we have a few half days (December 5 and December 22). Some other things coming up this month is our annual Reindeer Games on December 22 hosted by the high school student council, our winter band concert (December 12), and a movie night hosted by our new middle school PTO (December 15). Please keep reading to see of the other things going on at our school.
We have a new staff member joining our middle school. Mr. Jeremy Spevack will be taking over as the 7th grade social studies teacher. He started yesterday and we are thrilled to have him! Welcome Mr. Spevack!
Please make sure that students are charging their chromebooks at home or bringing their chargers to school. Most of our classes use computers regularly, so students need to be able to use their technology.

Interim Assistant Principal Update
Over the past few weeks, a selection committee made up of teachers, counselors, support staff, administrators, and students have been reviewing applications and conducting interviews for potential candidates to fill the role of the Interim Assistant Principal for the remainder of the 2023-2024 school year. The committee was searching for a candidate who has strong behavior management and relationship skills, experience supporting students and staff, and strong interpersonal skills. While we were very impressed with all the applicants, one person in particular demonstrated the strongest connection to what we were looking for and would be the best fit. The Interim Assistant Principal for the remainder of the school year will be Kylie Crawford. Ms. Crawford is currently the School Adjustment Counselor for the middle school. Ms. Crawford will begin her new role on January 2. Congratulations to Ms. Crawford.
