Monthly newsletters will be posted the last Thursday of each month! Please connect with Klentzman and your child's teachers via campus website, facebook, twitter, class dojo, and/or the remind app.
Beginning of the year forms are now online. Your child will not bring home forms to sign and return this year. In the mail, you should've received a letter with an access code to update your information. Please go online to update all forms. Students with all forms updated and completed will be able to wear free dress on August 31.

Children Interacting Afterschool provides educational, enrichment, and recreational activities that develop each student's educational competence, physical and social development, and community and family involvement in the educational setting.

5th and 6th grade School Supply List
Having a 3-ringed binder is essential to this process. Parents please partner with us to help your child succeed by being organized.
Students will need to purchase an agenda/planner for $3.00 the first week of school. Parents may turn in money to teacher on meet the teacher night!

Summer Reading Program
Party with the Principal will be on Friday, August 24
Summer Reading Program
Don’t forget to continue reading and working on your Math. Those students going to 6th grade who have worked on reading and math for 10 hours in June, 10 hours in July and 5 hours in August before Meet the Teacher on August 13th will be invited to a Party with the Principals held on August 24th. Forms were sent out on the last day of school or can be downloaded from the Klentzman website. Parents must initial that students have done the work. A reading log was also provided and should be filled out. Those forms can be turned in on Meet the Teacher night or the first day of school to your new teacher.
August 31- First Free Dress Day of the Year!
Any student who completes the following requirements may wear free dress on Friday, August 31st!
- Purchased their agenda and 3" binder
- Completed or returned all registration paperwork by August 30th
Free Dress days must still follow dress code guidelines.
No ripped jeans, tights (i.e. pants without pockets), or tank tops. Joggers are acceptable.
Dress Code
Shirts (polo style or button down) / Undershirts
· All shirts must be polo-type (collared) without any emblems or writing
· Shirts can be White, Gray, Light blue, or Dark blue in color
· Shirts can be long or short-sleeved
Bottoms (Pants/ Shorts/ Skirts/ Capri )
· All Bottoms must be navy or khaki.
· Bottoms must fit at the waist
· Shorts and skirts must not be shorter than 2 inches above the knee
· Belts must be solid in color (military fabric belts are not allowed)
· Jeans: cannot be ripped in which skin is exposed on days when jeans can be worn
Sweatshirts / Sweaters/ Jackets/ Coats
· Sweatshirts and sweaters are to be the same colors as school shirts
· Logos are permitted within Alief guidelines (no obscenities)
· Hooded sweatshirts are permitted
· Jackets and coats can be worn to and from school only and must be put away during the school day.
Grooming / Other
· Symbols, numbers, letters, designs or patches may not be shaved or cut into the hair, hairline, or eyebrows.
· Ear piercing are allowed for girls only
· Purses and backpacks must be stored in the closets during the school day. If an item is needed to go to the restroom, students will be allowed to get them.
