On Earth Day, JHCS students spend time beautifying campus by helping clean, pull weeds, and plant plants.

Campus Beautification / Earth Day
We would love volunteers to help with our campus beautification efforts on Earth Day. Parents and other family members are welcome to participate. This is a great way to gain volunteer hours before the end of the school year.

Kindergarten: Contact Mrs. Orton for the time
First Grade:12:30-2:00
Second Grade: 10:30-11:30
Third Grade: 10:00-10:30
Fourth Grade A (Siebert): 10:30-11:30
4th Grade Bunker:1:00-2:00
Fifth Grade:10:30-11:30
Sixth Grade: 1:00-2:00
Seventh Grade: 1:00-2:00
Donations
We are in need of the following for Earth Day:
- Paper Towels
- Mr. Clean Magic Erasers
- Clorox Wipes
- Windex
- Preen
- Flowers - please contact the school if you can donate flowers the students can plant so we can plan.
- Multi Purpose Cleaner
- Large Trash Bags
You can send the items any time between now and April 22nd.
Tools
We would love to borrow the following:
- Rakes
- Hand Shovels
- Push Brooms
- Garden Tools
Please label all items with your family name. Items will only be used by your child.
Work Clothes
Students are allowed to wear modest street/work clothes and we encourage they bring the following:
- Water Bottle
- Hat
- Work Gloves
- Wear sunscreen
Students will be outside for up to one hour.
