Unite to Read
The Shelby County Area Technology Center's HOSA chapter hosted Unite to Read on Friday, December 11th. The Juice Box Bully was read to the children that attended by Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus. Children that attended received multiple books each and were allowed to take their picture with Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus. Snacks and refreshments were also provided.

Open Door for Hope (Men's Shelter)
The Shelby County ATC HOSA Chapter's next community project will be to raise donations for Open Door for Hope. Items that can be donated are the following:
- Long sleeved shirts
- Toiletries (deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrush)
To donate bring items to an ATC HOSA chapter advisor or talk to one of your officers!
The ATC HOSA chapter will be creating a website for members to log their credits! For a member to ben an active member of the ATC HOSA chapter they must have at least seven (7) credits by the end of the year. A credit can be achieved by participating in the following:
- Donated blood
- Helped at the ATC HOSA Picnic
- Donated book for Unite to Read
- Helped at Unite to Read
- Reached goal for Abby's Candles (sold seven items)
- Helped make tie blankets for the Masonic Home
- Donate to the Backpack project
- Participated in Appreciation Day for HOSA Week at the ATC
- Participated in Smile Kentucky
Why should I be an active member?

There will be more credits available in the next few months. The members who are active (have seven credits) will not have to pay for their food at the HOSA banquet. This banquet will be held at the end of the school year. Also, to be able to buy a HOSA member T-shirt, you must have two (2) credits. Be an active and contributive member!
