ShowMe, Excel, and iPad Trainings
Ed Tech Trainings in January
Excel Training - January 14th - During all PD Sessions and Voluntary After School
New Date: Tuesday 1/14
This training will cover the following Excel Skills:
- Creating Documents to Organize Information
- Using Formulas
- Sorting Data
- Using Charts and Graphs
- Data Analysis Tools
RSVP for the Excel Training on Tuesday the 14th:
Locations will be determined for each PD session once the number of attendees are identified. An email will be sent out on Monday regarding locations.
ShowMe Training - Rescheduled for January 16th at 2:00 (voluntary)
New Date: Thursday 1/16
This is a class for beginners. ShowMe allows you or a student to record on a virtual whiteboard. The content that you create can then be posted online where a student can access the videos through nearly any device connected to the internet. This training will teach you how to utilize this tool for your class. iPad is required.

Location will be determined once the number of attendees are identified. An email will be sent out on Monday regarding locations.

This tool can be used for the following educational purposes:
- Used to assess their learning through recording of audio and screen annotation.
- Used to prepare material to showcase to students. For example: if there is a concept that you have to repeatedly explain to students, then you can record the video and have the student watch the video instead of waiting for you to have time to explain the concept to that individual student.
iPad Apps - January 22nd and 27th - During all PD Sessions and After School
New Dates: 1/22 and 1/27
The apps that will be covered in these sessions will be determined once all of the survey data has been collected and analyzed. The apps will be chosen based on the needs of the instructors at the GASC.Registration for these events will go out after apps have been identified for the training dates. Apps will be identified by the middle of next week.
